The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China released data on medical device approvals in Jun 2023. A total of 264 products were approved by the NMPA for market release, of which, 198 were domestic and 65 were import products.
As a comparison, in Jun 2022, 193 medical device products were approved by the NMPA, or a 36.8% increase in 2023. To date, a total of 1,195 approvals have been made by NMPA this year, a rise of 3.4% from the 1,156 approvals in H1 2022.
